Amanwella is a modern beach resort in Sri Lanka, derived from Sanskrit work for "peace", Aman and Sinhalese word for beach, wella.
Amanwella is a contemporary beach resort on the south coast of Sri Lanka, which is close to the village of Tangalle, the resort is set within a mature coconut grove facing a crescent-shaped beach. Amanwella's unique contemporary design is inspired by the neat angles Geoffrey Bawa over of the last century.
Open to the sights and sounds of Sri Lanka’s spectacular south coast with floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors on both sides, Amanwella’s Suites overlook a curved beach, turquoise ocean and coconut grove. All Suites have access to private plunge pools and large terraces facing out to sea. Overlooking a deserted crescent of ivory sands, the 150-foot-long swimming pool is one of the world’s most popular swimming pools.
