Six Senses launches its first city hotel in Singapore
Six Senses Singapore is split across two buildings that are an easy wander apart. Six Senses Duxton and Six Senses Maxwell will mark the brand’s first city hotels, celebrating local Singapore culture and history while adding a touch of playfulness to the heritage properties. Six Senses Duxton is due to open in April 2018, followed by Six Senses Maxwell three months later.
The glamourous building of Six Senses Duxton is actually renovated from a row of trading houses in Chinatown’s Tanjong Pagar. Preserving the authenticity of the antiquity while infusing a contemporary touch of quirkiness, the hotel is well-received by the community and recognized by the authority which awarded it with Urban Redevelopment Authority Architectural Heritage Award.
Ideally situated in the island city-state’s central district, the project is located in the eclectic heart of Chinatown where socializing, dining and nightlife take centre stage. In fact, with Yellow Pot, Six Senses Duxton’s modern Chinese restaurant that offers authentic Cantonese cuisine, Luxe Travel Insiders don’t have to travel far to look for good food.
Six Senses Duxton is like a kaleidoscope – every turn awaits a surprise for you. There are 49 luxuriously designed guestrooms and suites, of which each has its unique individuality. No two rooms are exactly the same, and thus every time you revisit the hotel would you have new living experience. Luxe Travel Insiders are in for an eccentric, elegant surprise as they enter the hotel which includes large golden fans and strong hues of black, gold and yellow, layered with Oriental screens and calligraphy wallpaper from the designers’ personal collection.
