Wild Coast Tented Lodge - Sri Lanka, Yala

Overlooking the turquoise water of the India Ocean, Wild Coast Tented Lodge is located amidst a lush jungle. Newly launched by Resplendent Ceylon in Sri Lanka, this lavish resort offers a precious tough of the very primitive and uncontaminated nature with its vicinity to Yala National Park, which is renowned for its dense leopard population.

Visually and practically, the resort blends seamlessly into the surrounding landscape with a meticulous selection of environmentally friendly building materials. Masterminded by Nomadic Resorts, a consortium of Dutch, English and Sri Lankan designers, Wild Coast Tented Lodge is characterised by the use of arched fabric structures that allows each of the 28 tents to take on the shape and colour of the rocks and boulders that lay scattered nearby, whilst a clever layout in the shape of a leopard’s paw print alludes to the area’s most famous resident.

Luxe Travel Insiders will live in the avant-garde tents called Cocoons and Urchins, which vary from size and in-room facilities. A lavish contemporary tented suite in the wilderness, the Cocoons and Urchins offers state-of-the-art amenities, including air-conditioners, and tucks you in for a good sleep at night. The resort also boasts an open-air bamboo-clad Ten Tuskers bar, Dining Pavilion and an enormous free-form swimming pool to indulge guests into ultimate luxury in the wild.

Luxe Travel Insiders will have an array of gourmet safari cuisine with a Sri Lankan flair in, and bath in the soothing ocean breeze in the open setting of the Dining Pavilion, or dine romantically in the beautiful natural beach garden against a star-studded Sri Lankan night sky. The menus feature both local delicacies and international favorites made by fresh ingredients, so that everyone will find something fit for their appetite. 

The Sanctuary Spa at Wild Coast Tented Lodge is one of a kind. Blessed with fresh ocean breeze and the floral fragrance of the jungle, the location of the Spa naturally oozes out a sense of well-being by embracing people into nature. The key to the resort’s signature wellness experience is two native Sri Lankan ingredients, Ceylon Tea and Ceylon Cinnamon, both of which are used liberally in the oils, scrubs and poultices to rejuvenate your body from inner to outer.
