Upon arrival in Auckland, you will be transferred to Taupo and we will pick you up to The Lodge at the Kinloch Club. This stunning luxury lodge offers Jack Nicklaus signature golf course.

Your professional tour guide will take you to Lake Taupo, a product of a large volcanic eruption two thousand years ago. Visiting the famous Craters of the Moon, you will be able to behold the strange sights of geysers, mud pools and steaming vents. Luxe travel insiders can enjoy a picnic by Lake Taupo and visit the magnificent Huka Fall at the same time.

Visit the Waitomo in the afternoon and take a privately guided boat tour to the world-famous firefly wormhole and enjoy the dazzling star river composed of thousands of fireflies. There are countless underground caves and underground labyrinths that will immerse you in the beautiful nature.

 

Experience The Middle-Earth in reality - Day 3

Luxe travel insiders will be accompanied by an expert guide to the Hobbiton and visit the "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy and the "Hobbit" series filming sites to experience the authentic Middle-earth. Visit the Hobbit Lodge, the Green Dragon Inn, the Mill and the Banquet Tree to hear the legendary stories about the Hobbits. Enjoy a ride to The Farm at The Cape Kidnappers (about 2.5hour). On the way to the farm, Luxe Travel insiders can visit the nostalgic Napier art deco. Have lunch at the Hawke's Bay Winery, where you can get some fine wine and worth a visit.

Take a four-wheel drive tour of the ranch in The Annandale, Luxe travel insiders can have a taste of sheep shearing, or command a shepherd dog to work as a shepherd. You can also take part in the cooking class hosted by the resident chef, pick fresh ingredients from the farm and learn to cook New Zealand-style cuisine.  (Reservation is required. This rustic town is a paradise for outdoor lovers. Explore the Dart River by jet boat or kayak or take a horse ride on the island of Glenorchy.
