Do you know that African elephants dig caves?

Elephant caves can only be found in Tanzania! At a certain time, the African elephants will go to the caves near the crater of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area in Tanzania, use their long ivories to dig a piece of rock on the stone wall, then roll up the rock with the nose and swallow. Scientists explained, the plants that elephants eat lack minerals, salt and other ingredients, thus, it is necessary for them to take minerals, vitamins and salts obtained from soil rocks.

The elephant caves seen in Tanzania are formed by the excavation of elephants for generations. It is definitely a unique spectacle worth seeing in Tanzania!
