From 1st October 2014, all goods bought in Japan will be TAX FREE for foreign tourists. On 12th December 2013 the Japanese government decided to widen the scope of duty free goods to include food, drinks, tobacco,medicine and cosmetics within a certain
price range. Duty-free items will be clearly labeled, and shops where this applies will be marked with a “tax-free shop” logo.
