Bhutan is a destination that can be appreciated year-round. However, we have outlined particular activities for certain months to help you plan your trip more ahead. Experience happiness, unique culture and stunning scenery as a journey of discovery!

April, May, October and November

The spring and autumn seasons are undoubtedly the best times for trekking in the Bhutanese Himalaya. Spring brings vibrant blooms, but it also comes with increased rain and mud compared to autumn, along with more snow on the higher passes. In contrast, autumn provides clearer views of the Himalayas and comfortable daytime temperatures around 20°C (68°F).

July

During this period, high-altitude wildflowers in the mountain valleys reach their peak bloom. It's also the only time to catch a glimpse of the almost mythical blue poppy, along with stunning anemones, primula, and irises. The eastern Himalayas, including Bhutan, experience more rainfall than other areas in the range, contributing to a richer biodiversity. Additionally, the monsoon months signal the arrival of wild mushroom season and summer festivals in lesser-known gems like the charming Haa Valley.

October

This is the ultimate month for an epic Bhutan adventure—unless you're allergic to crowds! With the perfect blend of comfy weather, crystal-clear skies, dazzling festivals, and fabulous trekking, it's no wonder this month is a hot ticket for globetrotters.

December

Visiting Bhutan in December is like stepping into a magical snow globe! The crisp air and winter vibes sprinkle extra charm on everything around. If you're the adventurous type, this is prime time to explore Bhutan—think bright blue skies and just the right amount of chill for those picturesque strolls! One must-see spot? The legendary Tiger’s Nest Monastery! It's hanging out on a cliff, offering jaw-dropping views and a dash of thrill! And here’s a little Bhutanese gem for staying toasty—hot stone baths! Yep, it’s like getting pampered by Mother Nature herself!
