Velaa Private Island - Maldives, Noonu Atoll

Velaa Private Island has been designed by Czech architect Petr Kolář, the concept is contemporary, yet intimate, with Maldivian nuances. Velaa Private Island has 45 private villas, eight of which are built over water, and features three restaurants, including beachfront restaurant Athiri, Avi Bar and Pool and the islands signature over water restaurant Aragu, boasting the culinary consultancy of Michelin-star chef Adeline Grattard from Paris. The Island also features two bars, Cru and Tavaru, as well as the most extensive wine cellar in the Maldives. Velaa features a My Blend by Clarins spa, one of only a handful in the world, offering exclusive products and private treatments, also housing the first ‘snow room’ in the Maldives. Submarine expeditions, diving, snorkeling, windsurfing and sailing are among the excursions available, along with a Troon Short Game Golf Academy, designed by Jose Maria Olazabal.
