Day 1 | Arrival in Osaka and Transfer to Kyoto
Arrive at Kansai International Airport and begin your journey with a private transfer to Suiran Kyoto, nestled in the tranquil Arashiyama district. Settle into your elegant surroundings and prepare for the experiences ahead.
Day 2 | Kyoto’s Iconic Heritage
Discover Kyoto’s celebrated landmarks, including Fukuda Art Museum, Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, Kinkaku-ji, Kifune Shrine, and Nijo Castle
Day 3 | Sacred Sites and Cultural Encounters
Continue through Kyoto’s spiritual and artistic landscapes with visits to Shirahige Shrine, Enryaku-ji, Nishiki Market for lunch (at own expense)
, and either Fushimi Inari Taisha or Miho Museum. Conclude the day along the Kamo River and in the atmospheric lanes of Pontocho.
Day 4 | Castles and Historic Landscapes
Depart Kyoto for Hyogo, where the day features the Hyogo Prefectural Museum of History, Himeji Castle, Takeda Castle Ruins, and the Anno Mitsumasa Art Museum. Arrive in Kinosaki and settle into Nishimuraya Honkan.
Day 5 | Dunes, Markets, and Storehouse Districts
Travel to Tottori Sand Dunes and the Sand Museum, then enjoy lunch at Karo Market (at own expense). Continue to Kurayoshi Shirakabe Storehouses before returning to Nishimuraya Honkan.
Day 6 | Onsen Towns and Scenic Lookouts
Spend the day in Kinosaki Onsen, with its charming streets, ropeway views, literary museum, Onsenji Temple, and scenic observation points overlooking Kumihama Bay and Tango Matsushima. Later, arrive at Genmyoan.
Day 7 | Amanohashidate and Rural Heritage
Explore Amanohashidate, Motoise Kono Shrine, and the traditional thatched-roof village of Miyama Kayabuki no Sato, before returning to Genmyoan for the evening.
Day 8 | Kaga Craft Traditions
Visit Kutaniyaki Art Museum, Kaga Fruitland, Traditional Handicrafts Village, Kakusenkei Gorge, and Koorogi Bridge before arriving at Hyatt Centric Kanazawa.
Day 9 | Kanazawa’s Cultural Heart
Discover Myoryuji Temple, D.T. Suzuki Museum, Kenrokuen Garden, Kanazawa Castle, Omicho Market (at own expense), Higashi Chaya District, Nagamachi Samurai District, and the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art before returning to your hotel.
Day 10 | Iconic Shirakawa-go
Journey to Shirakawa-go, Takayama Jinya, Hida-Takayama’s old streets, and the Shin-Hotaka Ropeway, then continue to Tobira Onsen Myojinkan.
Day 11 | Matsumoto and Zenkoji
Explore Matsumoto Castle, Nakamachi Street, and Zenkoji Temple. Return to Tobira Onsen Myojinkan for a restful evening.
Day 12 | Karuizawa and Departure
Spend the final day in Karuizawa, visiting Karuizawa Ginza, Naka-Karuizawa, the Karuizawa Picture Book Museum, Stone Church, Karuizawa Kogen Church, and Harunire Terrace before your transfer to Tokyo airport for departure.
