1/ Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale 2018
Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale is one of the largest art festivals in the world held every three years. About 760 square kilometers, the Echigo-Tsumari area (the municipalities of Tokamachi and Tsunan in Niigata Prefecture) is renowned for its rich nature and breathtaking landscape. Using art as a catalyst, the Triennale encourages global artists to create art pieces by cooperating with elderly people and young volunteers from all over the world. Not only Luxe Travel Insiders can pass through beautiful terraces and forests, but can also appreciate artworks that scattered along villages and fields. You are also encouraged to visit art galleries and participate in religious festivals.

2/ Water and Land Niigata Art Festival 2018
From ancient times, Niigata has been strongly connecting with water and land as a port town and a major river town. This connection is the theme for the Water and Land Art Festival. Artists from around the world will display their artworks that reveal Niigata’s history, culture & nature. There will also be around 110 projects planned and managed by local citizens to share Niigata’s charm. It is also a family friendly festival with art workshops tailor-made for kids to enhance creativity. Luxe Travel Insiders can pamper themselves with local food and enjoy traditional dance performance such as Kagura during festival.
