This 11th November, Abu Dhabi is excited to bring Luxe Travel Insiders the Louvre Abu Dhabi , the first museum of its kind in the Arab world! Also a master piece by world renown architect Jean Nouvel!
Louvre Abu Dhabi bridges the gap between Eastern and Western art. It focuses on what unites us: the stories of human creativity that transcend individual civilizations and cultures, times or places. The museum has acquired more than 600 artworks and 300 works on loan from leading French institutions to date. The Louvre Abu Dhabi will take Luxe Travel Insiders on a new and unique exploration of major works of art of civilizations from all over, brought together to highlight a shared humanity. In addition to the galleries, the museum will include exhibitions, a children’s museum, a restaurant, a boutique and a café.
Luxe Travel Insiders could never miss the extraordinary architectural symbol of the museum - a huge silvery dome that appears to float above the entire museum-city! As the sun passes above, its light filters through the perforations in the dome to create an inspiring effect known as the ‘rain of light’.
