Enjoy a run in the largest religious monument in the world — Angkor Wat! Whether you are a beginner or a professional runner, you will find the marathon one of the most exciting sport events in Asia.
The 22nd Angkor Wat International Half Marathon will be held on 3 Dec. The purpose of event is to raise fund to support the landmine victims who survived after a long civil war to take normal lives as others. This great international race takes place inside the ruins of Angkor Wat, a World Heritage Site, and has been supported by runners from all over the world to give the victims courage and hope, as well as to appeal to the world to support the “ban on the use of antipersonnel mines.”
With race categories of 21km, 10km & 3km, runners will be experiencing a unique ancient atmosphere on a running road through around 13 ancient temples along the beautiful forested course in the chill weather of December.
