Jebel  Akhdar means “the Green Mountain” in Arabic.  Although it is located in the desert region of Oman, the higher altitude brings in sufficient precipitation for the area, making it a place where roses flourish. Jebel  Akhdar is famous for distill rosewater. From March to May, about 7,000 damask roses cover the rocky landscape and transform the mountain into a shade of pink. Falconry is a traditions in Arabic countries. Abu Dhabi Falcon Hospital is the world’s first and largest hospital dedicated to Falcon. The hospital has about 6,000 birds each year.
