The new “Louvre Abu Dhabi” was designed by Pritzker-prize winning architectural master Jean Nouvel. The museum itself is a piece of art. The galleries are enriched by loans from many museums including Musee du Louvre, Musee d'Orsay, and Centre Pompidou. As one of the world’s largest mosques, the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi has a capacity of holding 40,000 worshipers and visitors. There is a gigantic carpet which is considered to be the world’s largest carpet. The brilliant chandelier is made by 600,000 pieces of twinkling Swarovski crystals and 24K gold. Entering the main prayer hall, there are 96 columns all clad with marble and inlaid with mother of pearl. It is, no doubt, a masterpiece of modern Islamic architecture.

The Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque in Oman was built in 2001 by 20,000 craftsmen in 6 years time. There is also a gigantic carpet which is considered to be the world's largest one piece handmade carpet. The 14-meter high chandelier with 600,000 pieces of crystals and 24k gold and 20,000 books of collection will certainly take your breath away.
